The Charleston Social Club, an organization for lesbians and all women who are accepting of lesbians, was founded in 2003 by Lynn Dugan.

We welcome women of all races, ages, ethnic heritage, religious and spiritual beliefs and physical abilities. Our mission is to create a safe environment for women to socialize with each other so we all may have a richer and more meaningful life.

The Charleston Social Club is now in its 8th year. Our members make  it happen. We are a very diverse community and the ages range from 20-75 and have grown to over 700 women. We are an activity based group. We are not a chat/discussion group or dating service. The activities come from the members themselves. I am here to distribute that information to all the members. I respect the privacy of others and assure you that your email will never be given out. We are a very friendly and welcoming community.

If there’s something you like doing like going to the movies or biking or hiking or playing scrabble or whatever it is you like doing, then PLAN AN ACTIVITY. Just email me the particulars like what the activity is, date, time, location and contact information and I put it out to the group. Our group is only as active as WE make it. Everyone who joined said they wanted to meet new people. So pick an activity and get out and meet some active (and some inactive. lol) lesbians.
